COSTA RICA NEWS — City Square Tour is a new way for nationals and foreigners to discover and learn the secrets of San José. The tour takes places on a bus, that covers more than 50 different historical, culinary, traditional and cultural sites of Costa Rica’s capital city.

According to Costa Rica City Square Tours, Andrés Oreamuno, the 90 minute tour will be available all year.

logoparkingRiders can “hop-on hop-off”, get in and out, to start and finish the tour at any time and at any stop they want, taking in the sights and then getting on another bus, that run all day long. The buses run at intervals of approximately 45 minutes.

The cost is US$25 for one entire day or US$40 for two days. Tickets can be purchased at participating hotels, travel agencies and online costaricacitysquaretour.com. Riders will get a bracelet that allows use of the service all day long.

The Stops
1 Teatro Nacional – Plaza de la Cultura – Museos del Banco Central – Catedral Metropolitana – Parque Central – Teatro Melico Salazar – Monumento a Juan Mora Fernández.

2 Museo Nacional – Barrio Chino – Monumento a John Lennon – Plaza de la Democracia – Mercado de Artesanías – Museo de Jade.

3 Calle Gastronómica La Luz, en barrio Escalante.

4 Museo Calderón Guardia – Parque Francia – Antigua Aduana – iglesia Santa Teresita.

5 Biblioteca Nacional – Parque Nacional, España y Morazán – o – TSE – Cenac – Museo de Arte Contemporáneo – Escuela Metálica .

6 Barrio Amón – Zoológico Simón Bolívar – Centro de Cine

7 Museo de los Niños

8 Mercado Central de San José – Edificio de Correos – Bancos Central y Nacional – Monumentos a Mora Porras y Castro Madriz.
