QCOSTARICA – It’s been almost a week, tomorrow Tuesday, since Piercy Ryan went missing. To date there is no trace of his whereabouts or if someone has him.
The director of the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ), Francisco Segura, confirms that the investigation is continuing; and that Canadian police and specialists are collaborating with local authorities are the only new details being made available to the press.
As Segura put in on several occasions Ryan’s disappearance is “very mysterious”.
The OIJ director says they are working on several hypothesis, that include his voluntary disappearance or that he was taken. In any event “we have to start with the victim” said Segura, confirming that the investigation includes talking to family members and looking at his business dealings.
The 45 year old Ryan, a Canadian national and Naturalized Costa Rican, was last seen on the afternoon of Tuesday January 20th. His vehicle was found abandoned in a coffee field in the area of San Miguel de Santo Domingo de Heredia, off Ruta 32.

According to the ARCR office the month end seminars that are held the last Thursday and Friday of each month, will continue as scheduled.
Police are asking anyone who any information about the whereabouts of Piercy to call the confidential information line at 800-8000–OIJ (800-8000-645).
