This is the eight consecutive drop, the second this month. The last was January 15.

The price at the pumps today is ¢537 colones for a litre of super (down from ¢580); regular is ¢503 (from ¢552); and diesel is ¢474 (down from ¢522).

The price drop was approved last Friday by the Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep), reflecting the drop in oil prices in international markets.
