COSTA RICA NEWS — The Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep) approved a reduction in fuel prices, dropping the price of a litre of regular gasoline ¢13 colones, while super will drop only ¢2.

150345_620A litre of diesel will drop ¢11 colones.

Once published in the official government newsletter, La Gaceta, the price at the pumps will change from the current ¢757 to ¢744 per litre of regular gasoline; from ¢779 to ¢777 to super; and from ¢669 to ¢658 for diesel.

This is the third consecutive price drop since July.

Compressed natural gas, used mainly in kitchens across the country, however, will increase by ¢5 colones a litre.

The ARESEP press office said the resolution will be published on Wednesday and prices at the pumps will change at 12:01am Thursday.
